Bourbon Caramel Latte
First things first. Prepare your Bourbon Caramel Sauce, & dream up all the ways you can use it – this goodness deserves a place in more than just a delicious latte. Pour it over bread pudding, ice cream, waffles – or just steal it by the spoonful straight from the jar. I’ve done that once or twice.
Bourbon Caramel Sauce
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 2 Tbsp. bourbon
Pour sugar & water into a saucepan & stir to combine. Cook over medium heat (without stirring) for 8-15 minutes until mixture is honey colored. Turn off heat, pour in cream and stir until smooth (mixture will bubble). Stir in salt and bourbon. Cool & store in refrigerator for up to a week. **I made a variation using brown sugar & think you should try it, too!**
Bourbon Caramel Latte
Brew 2 cups of Rocking Bar H coffee or 2 shots espresso. Heat or steam 1 cup milk; add 2 Tbsp. brown sugar & 2 Tbsp. bourbon caramel sauce, mix well. Pour milk over coffee. Top with whipped cream, cinnamon, and a drizzle of caramel sauce. This recipe when made with coffee fills 2 coffee mugs perfectly!
