Courage Over Fear

I was half-listening to an interview with Tim Tebow earlier this week and something he said stuck in my mind: “Fear says, ‘What if I don’t make it?’” 

Isn’t it the truth that taking the first step at something is the hardest? 

Fear holds us back from making changes, from trying things we so badly want to try, and even from making our dreams come true.

God doesn’t want us to live a life of fear or let doubts hold us back. 

He wants us to live courageously, trusting Him with everything.

Tell ya what, if we’re being honest about it, most of us live with some small amount of fear that controls what we do. 

Yup, even the brave ones. 

If that is you––because it’s also me–– just ask God to give you the courage you can’t seem to find on your own. 

Then watch how He answers.

“Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you…” -Isaiah 41:10
