Plowing Ahead

The ranch is about so much more than me (Brook) and today is a great day for plowing ahead! 

Rocking Bar H is about a dream that God turned into reality, and we get to use it for so many good things! 

For instance, I love our oldest mama cows. 

Their sweet, aged faces and bodies were earned by years of life and mothering.

Our oldest mamas have produced well for us throughout their lives. 

They’ve helped us build a good herd. 

It is a blessing to see their daughters, granddaughters, and great-granddaughters on down the line doing the same.

As soon as our ranch brand was registered in 2005, I remember thinking to myself, ”Well, I hope this whole ranching thing works.”

If we had waited until we were fully prepared, set up, and confident to begin, I think we’d still be waiting today. There truly is no time to start like now.

We are so lucky to raise beautiful red cattle and hay; to share a way of life that many never see firsthand; to encourage others to reach for their dreams.

It’s about a family; not just an individual, and it is about all the people and experiences that both have been and will be part of our story.

Our cows are cows, but they’re also our family, which means we love them like our own family.

And, we thank you for walking beside us as we plow ahead through this wonderful field of life.
